
Lana Biro is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and a Certified Respiratory Educator at The Lung Association – Ontario. She has a strong interest in promoting respiratory health and has been with The Lung Association for over ten years, answering calls on the provincial Lung Health Information Line, providing counselling and guidance to patients, caregivers and health-care providers on a variety of lung health issues, such as asthma, COPD, smoking cessation and air quality.
Lana is a trainer for RESPTREC®, facilitating workshops for health-care professionals on asthma, COPD, Spirometry and Education for Chronic Disease. She is also a CAMH/TEACH-trained facilitator for Motivational Interviewing workshops.
Lana has been involved with various lung health advocacy initiatives, including work with the Lung Health Ambassadors, Breathworks®/COPD newsletters and Lung Health/COPD support groups in Ontario. Lana enjoys organizing in-services and educational presentation for health care providers, as well as participating in various educational opportunities.
